HoneyHeal	The Red Horse Equine Health Range We are constantly looking for solutions to hoof-care issues. Mainly because many of our own horses and our clients horses are barefoot! Although barefoot horses generally have fewer foot problems those that occur are much more obvious so have to be dealt with swiftly and effectively. Many hoof care products currently on the market have been designed to deal with problems in shod horses but often prove inadequate when a shoe is not there to hide their ineffectiveness. This said all our products are equally effective when used on shod horses! Our frustration with available hoof products was echoed by Equine Podiatrists, farriers, vets and other horse owners. This led to us putting a little more thought and research into what would work more effectively - thus our hoof care range was born. Our horses (and our E.P.s) love it we hope that you and yours do too! Our Range: HoneyHeal: Is a honey and zinc based cream designed to combat bacterial and fungal infection whilst promoting tissue regeneration. Although originally formulated for use on mud-fever is has found many other uses, it has been effective as a thrush remedy, also to toughen up heel bulbs and frogs among many others. Artimud: Again containing honey, zinc and eucalyptus as primary antimicrobials this is a clay-based hoof pack and treatment. Used to provide a physical barrier, antimicrobial and healing agent in cases of shallow white line disease, abscess cavities, seedy toe and central sulcus problems among others. Hoof-Stuff: This combines the physical barrier and retention power of natural fibres with the antimicrobial and healing effects of zinc and honey. Hoof-Stuff is for filling deeper/ tighter cavities in the horses foot that can harbour infection and effect the health and integrity of internal structures. This has proved remarkably useful as a pack into deep central sulcus and white line disease due to its powerful effect and longevity. Sole Cleanse Spray: A zinc sulphate, eucalyptus and honey based spray. Zinc sulphate is a powerful antifungal agent found to be particularly useful for eliminating foot-borne fungi and bacteria. This spray can be used either as a treatment or preventative for surface infections of the hoof. Particularly popular for the treatment of thrush, but also found useful for flushing infected cavities. Very easy to apply, just a few sprays on each foot as required. Sole Paint: A more powerful, paint on version of the Sole Cleanse spray. Designed to have a more residual effect in the deeper areas of the sole and hence need fewer regular applications. Field Paste: Thicker still than the Sole Paint. Designed to stay in the co-lateral grooves and in the sulcus for longer periods of time. Created for horses who cannot have their feet picked out and treated on a regular basis. Bio+Honey: Honey that has not been either pasteurised or gamma irradiated hence retains a large amount of its important bacteria fighting enzymes! For animal use only. HoneyCreme: (in development): HoneyHeal based but also containing beeswax to provide more of a waterproof barrier for extremely muddy situations or to provide a moisture barrier for the hoof.
